Chumash Farms & their Strawberry Towers

Here are some neat photos from one of our growers down in San Luis Obispo, CA. SWT ANN-CHUMASH SWT ANN TOWER-CHUMASHChumash Farms sent us these photos of some of our Sweet Ann variety strawberry that they have growing in their towers.  Sweet Ann just so happens to be of of Lassen Canyon Nursery's own variety.  The towers are a great way to grow strawberries with limited space availability. For example growing them on your deck would be a perfect use for the Tower.  The towers look like they are a clean and weed free way to farm small or large scale strawberry patches.  Plus who likes to bend over and pick strawberries??  The towers have berries at arms reach with out bending over as much as in raised beds. Here is a link to a website on how to build a tower. http://smsf-mastergardeners.ucanr.edu/Tips/How_to_build_a_strawberry_tower/
