raspberry-fruitCASCADE HARVEST ‘Cascade Harvest’ is a floricane fruiting raspberry cultivar (Rubus idaeus L.) jointly released by Washington State University (WSU), Oregon State University (OSU), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). ‘Cascade Harvest’ produces a high yield of large, firm fruit suited to machine harvesting, and is well suited for processing.  Because of its flavor, large fruit, attractive appearance and easy fruit release at an early stage of maturity, ‘Cascade Harvest’ may also be suitable for fresh market use. It is root rot tolerant and resistant to the common strain of Raspberry bushy dwarf virus (RBDV). Because of its adaptation to machine harvest, high yield, tolerance to root rot and RBDV resistance, it is recommended as a possible replacement for ‘Meeker’, the primary cultivar of the Pacific Northwest raspberry industry. random raspberryJOSEPHINE
Josephine is vigorous, with large and firm fruit that is known to have dual cropping, high spring yields and moderate fall yields. Fall yields are lower than other high yielding varieties that fruit farther down the primocane. This results in a long cane left for spring production, which can be quite high. The canes are thorny, very vigorous and moderatley upright. Suckering is only moderate to low. This plant is very robust and resistant to leafhopper damage and late season leaf rust. It also is cold hardy to 0F.
